I’ve launched a new project called Steve on Shuffle: Songs & Spaces — a free Substack newsletter where I’ll be sharing stories and reflections about two things that matter a lot to me: music and homes.

Most people know me as a real estate agent here in the Triangle, but before I got into this business, I spent two decades working in the music industry. That love of music has never left — and over the years, it’s become clear that the way we connect to songs and the way we connect to homes… isn’t all that different.

So I’m combining the two. This new newsletter will include:

  • Music I love (and why it matters)

  • Stories about homes, spaces, and local real estate

  • Unexpected overlaps between the two

Music has always been Steve's number one passion. With decades of experience in the music industry—working at independent record labels and volunteering as a DJ for over 20 years—Steve has a deep-rooted connection to the world of music. More than a dozen years ago, he shifted his focus to Real Estate as his primary career. While music became more of a hobby, it remains an integral part of his life. As a successful Realtor, Steve spends plenty of time on the road, and his car is often filled with the sounds of his favorite tunes. Below, you'll find a playlist of the music you might hear as Steve heads out to meet clients.
